# Sabine Hazan MD

> Dr. Sabine Hazan is a board-certified gastroenterologist, hepatologist, and internal medicine physician with over 30 years of experience. She pioneered microbiome research and clinical trials, founding several organizations focused on gut health.
Born in Morocco, Dr. Hazan earned her medical degree from Dalhousie University in Canada in 1992. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Miami during the HIV epidemic peak and became the first woman accepted as a gastro fello
